Waisalima Beach Resort was responsible for the creation and preservation of the marine reserve at Naiqoro Passage on the Great Astrolabe Reef. Located just minutes by boat from Waisalima Beach, this gateway between the South Pacific Ocean and Kadavu is the most important breeding ground for many fish species, which results in one of the best places for diving Kadavu. The Great Astrolabe Reef drops off into the fourth deepest oceanic trench in the world, bound to ensure the sustainability for the future with upwelling, nutrient-rich and cooling currents from the deep South Pacific Ocean.

Part of your diving fees goes directly to the local villages to help them police the marine reserve at Naiqoro Passage.
